The Lookist team

The team that builds Lookist also publishes these guides. We explain the product we know and link to outside sources for research and care guidance. Our articles reflect that product perspective. They are not individual medical assessments.

What goes into a Lookist report

A report starts with the photos you submit. It contains 15 appearance scores covering facial features, visible skin appearance, hair, and eye brightness. Each feature has an explanation to help you read the result.

These are estimates from images. Camera distance, lighting, head position, and expression can change the input. A small score difference does not establish that your face changed. We do not publish a clinical accuracy percentage or a verified conversion to another app's rating scale.

How the care plan fits

Care plans turn selected topics into tasks you can review. You can adjust the workload, accept a proposal, or keep your existing plan. Scan history records reports. Task history records completed actions. Neither record proves that a habit caused a score to change.

How we check our guides

  • We check product descriptions against Lookist's features and current app listings.
  • We link research claims to the paper or organization behind them.
  • We use review themes to find questions. A review alone does not establish a current product defect.
  • We state the source date for app comparisons and disclose that Lookist publishes them.
  • We compare published features. We do not present those comparisons as accuracy tests.
  • We change article dates when we revise the content. A new build does not make an article new.

Screenshots show the feature under discussion. Sample scores and illustrations do not predict your result. Sources appear beside relevant claims and at the end of each guide.
